Pack ASSIST Scholarships
Pack ASSIST is NC State’s one-stop scholarship application portal. Students who would like to be considered for institutional scholarship opportunities must submit an application in Pack ASSIST.
Applications received by February 15 will receive priority consideration, but the application remains open throughout the academic year.
Important Considerations
- Students need to complete the general application to be considered for university-wide scholarships.
- Students may be presented with department-specific questions after completing the general application. Students must answer these questions to be considered for departmental opportunities.
- Some scholarships require additional information to determine eligibility. In these cases, the student will be presented with recommended opportunities after the submission of the general application. Students should apply for any recommended opportunities.
- If a major is changed after admission, students should log in to Pack ASSIST and complete any new requests for information should they appear.
Short Term Loans
University short-term loans are available to assist students who need small amounts of funding for emergency expenses. The maximum available loan is $500. To learn more, please contact the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
Student Emergency Fund
The Student Emergency Fund was established by the Division of Academic and Student Affairs to help ensure that NC State students have access to the resources they need to successfully recover from unexpected financial crises. The goal of these funds is to prevent one small emergency or unexpected expense from derailing a student’s progress towards their degree. The fund is made possible from generous donors committed to helping students in need achieve their goal of graduating from NC State. The lists below are not exhaustive and other needs may be eligible to receive emergency funds.
Minimum Qualification Review
- The student is currently enrolled and has started at least one semester at NC State;
- The student has been verified as eligible for emergency funding by Financial Aid (i.e. the student has not exceeded their maximum award and does not have additional financial aid resources available);
- The student’s financial need is likely to have a direct impact on the student’s academic success or retention at the university;
- The student’s need for financial assistance is not a result of student’s own actions;
